Introducing our new VP of User Experience Design: Lauren Zack
We at GoTo love serving the needs of our customers, and we need to show that love in the work we do and the user experience we provide to our customers. And what better way to show that commitment than by bringing on an industry visionary who will focus all day, every day, on delivering a truly delightful user experience design (UXD)!
Lauren Zack, our new Vice President of UXD, joined the team at LogMeIn a few weeks ago, and we are thrilled to have her on board. Lauren has a unique set of experiences, expertise, and user-focused attitude to lead the delivery of the best meeting, communications, and collaboration experience to our customers.
Lauren’s no stranger to the flexible working world. In fact, she’s been working from home long before the millennials showed us the way of the future. Lauren’s been a huge proponent of enabling collaboration, communication and flexible work environments since 1992! As Lauren puts it, “back then I was just a girl with a dream, 2 phone lines, and a dial-up modem.” Well GoToMeeting pioneered remote work technology, making remote work a whole lot better and easier than it was in 1992, and Lauren brings the same passion to transform modern work, innovating on how, where and when people work.
For the past 25 years Lauren has been focused on bringing an understanding of the customers to the center of the product design process, while at the same time helping teams deliver great product experiences. Prior to coming to GoTo, Lauren led multi-disciplinary UX team, most recently at SONY Interactive Entertainment (PlayStation) and before that, companies focused on fintech, healthcare technology, consumer products and business systems. With advanced degrees from Tufts, Georgia Institute of Technology, and Carnegie Mellon, Lauren is a recognized industry leader in in User Experience, User Research, User Interaction Design and Usability Engineering, Her wealth of knowledge will be instrumental in bringing the GoTo UXD to the next level.
When asked what she was most excited about with the new opportunity Lauren said that she looks forward to digging in to the “evolving way we work and using technology to unleash the potential each individual has to collaborate, communicate and contribute. Breaking down barriers to create inclusive environments is foundational to great design – and it’s what inspires me every day.”
When not at work, you can find Lauren chasing after their rescue spaniel-mix, Charlie, usually on a beach. Or embracing her time living in California and learning about wine. She also hopes that the sailing skills she’s honed in the San Francisco Bay, will come in handy when she moves to Boston later this summer!
Please join us in welcoming Lauren to the team!
